App Platform Backup is a private utility for encrypted off-site backup and disaster recovery.
Google data access
The application uses Google OAuth 2.0 and the Google Drive API solely to store and manage backup files in the Google Drive account explicitly authorized by the operator.
The application is designed to use limited Google Drive access for files created or managed by the backup process. It does not require access to unrelated personal files for its intended operation.
Purpose of data use
Google Drive access is used only to upload, verify, retain, and restore encrypted application-platform backup archives.
Encryption
Backup data is encrypted before being transferred to Google Drive. The encrypted backup is intended to prevent the storage provider from reading the original backup contents.
Sharing and sale of data
Google user data accessed by this application is not sold, used for advertising, or intentionally shared with unrelated third parties.
Credentials and authorization
OAuth credentials and authorization tokens are used only to operate the backup service. Access may be revoked at any time through the authorized Google account.
Data retention
Backup files are retained only as required for backup and disaster recovery operations and may be removed according to the platform's configured retention policy.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the backup architecture, Google API permissions, or data-handling practices materially change.
